Carrie discovered her passion for teaching fitness and wellness in 1990 while teaching traditional floor aerobics, step aerobics, water fitness, kid’s fitness, and strength training. She has taught in health clubs in Plattsburgh, NY, SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson University, and Colton-Pierrepont School.
Carrie is a Certified Health Coach, having completed a yearlong study with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is certified to teach fitness through the American Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Her certifications are as a Primary Group Exercise Instructor, and Beyond Mat Science. She is currently working on my Personal Fitness Trainer certification.
Carrie organizes her classes to support the student’s enjoyment as they build strength, flexibility, increase energy, and develop a more positive attitude and mood. She believes good health, wellness, fitness, and healthy lifestyles are important for all. The benefits of physical fitness are numerous. Carrie enjoys teaching for all fitness levels – everyone is welcome in her classes.
