Jenna Joya Blondel, Ph.D., Minister of Walking Prayer, offers a range of healing practices at Trillium: Reiki, Mindfulness Meditation, Spiritual Counseling, Shamanic Work, and Tarot card readings.
A former college professor in the US and the Middle East, she has been meditating since high school, the first step on her journey to healing and wellness. She is pleased and grateful to be able to share with others the practices and teachings that have worked for her, and to keep learning from others.
Reiki is a simple, natural, energy healing technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing and well-being. Reiki treats the whole person: body, heart, mind, and spirit. Joya has been practicing Reiki since 2004, and is available for individual treatment sessions as well as attunements to become a Reiki master.
Mindfulness meditation helps us develop our ability to be fully present in the moment, without judgment, fear, or regret. Mindfulness reduces stress and facilitates insight, understanding, and compassion. Joya teaches meditation and mindfulness practice in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
Spiritual counseling provides mentoring in our uniquely individual process of spiritual growth, as well as support as we move through the many transitions of life. Joya’s approach is multicultural, heart-centered, and Mother Earth-honoring. All spiritual traditions are honored and welcome. Joya was ordained a Minister of Walking Prayer in 2015.
Shamanic work draws upon our most ancient wisdom traditions for ceremony and healing, and opens the way to a deep and joyful engagement with the world. Joya is a mesa carrier and teacher in the Peruvian tradition of Pachakuti Mesa multicultural shamanism. Among the services she offers are energy clearing, journeying, soul retrieval, meeting spirit guides, mesa construction, and offerings.
Tarot is a wonderful practice for contemplation, understanding, and guidance. Joya has been reading cards for many years, and enjoys exploring their meaning and insight with others.
