Experience a new kind of meditation as Becky plays Tibetan singing bowls. The sound is created to sooth jangled nerves and encourage deep relaxation.
Studies have shown that when we are around sounds that are loud, grating and irritating, we experience a higher level of stress. When we are around sounds that are peaceful, stress can dissipate. Given the overwhelming amount of noise we may experience in a day, it is important to foster times in our life when we can come back into “tune” as with the healing sounds of traditional Tibetan singing bowls.
Lie on the floor, cover yourself with a blanket, and allow yourself to be emersed in a soothing sound bath.
This class meets on the first Wednesday each month. Yoga Nidra meets on all other Wednesdays.
