The class begins with a seated, mindfulness meditation and pranayama breath work. Students lie down on blankets and pillows in shavasana pose for Yoga Nidra meditation. Known as “yogic sleep,” Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative meditation practice. Be guided with trauma sensitive language to release chronic, deeply held stresses and tensions. When we cultivate deep relaxation with Yoga Nidra practice, we soothe the nervous system. renew vital energy, and increase well-being in body,¬†mind, and spirit.

We work hard, we play hard and we worry about never having enough time or not doing enough. We may develop chronic pain or illness. Taking time for deep relaxation can relieve anxiety and depression, improve sleep, lower blood pressure, reduce chronic pain, and bring many other benefits. All you do is…..nothing.

This is an ongoing Wednesday evening class, except for the first Wednesday of the month, when Sound Bath meets.
